Below are the most frequently asked questions about worship at Edgewood:

When does Edgewood have worship services?

Edgewood has three different worship experiences. We also offer a dynamic small-group setting for deeper study and close relationships called Grow Groups.

Our worship services are at 10:30 am, 6:00pm on Sunday, and 6:30pm on Wednesday. Grow Groups are every Sunday at 9:15am.

What does a normal service at Edgewood look like?

A normal Sunday morning worship service consists of blended congregational singing, led by our Worship Pastor and multi-generational choir. Our Lead Pastor preaches dynamic, relevant sermons to encourage and build up the church. A time of response is always issued at the end of the message. Sunday evenings follow a similar format, with more traditional music highlighting the worship.

Our Wednesday prayer gatherings are warm, intimate, offer engaging teaching, and are often accompanied by a dinner in the fellowship hall.

Miss a service? No problem! Our worship services are always broadcast live on YouTube, where we store the services for those who want to view them at a later date.

Are children welcome to the Worship Services? Is childcare provided during the Worship Services?

Yes and yes! Your children can join you, or we offer childcare from birth all the way to twelve years of age!

On Sunday morning the nursery opens when the Grow Group hour starts.

During the Worship Service, children are dismissed for Children’s Worship when the offering begins. Your child can choose to stay in the auditorium with you – children are ALWAYS welcome in our worship services – or they may go to Children’s Worship.

If your child desires to attend Children’s Worship, detailed instructions will be given at the beginning of the worship service on when and where they are dismissed.

For more information about our children’s ministry, or about its safety and security, check out Edgewood KIDS.

Do you broadcast services live? Where can I view live services?

Yes! While we understand watching a service live on a computer or television is not the greatest substitute to actually experiencing the service in-person, we believe it is a great alternative when attendees can not come. We don’t want anyone to miss out!

Sunday morning and evening services are broadcast live on our YouTube page each week! People from all over the world regularly attend our online services.

How to view our live services:

  1. Decide which service you want to watch. Sunday morning starts at 10:30am and Sunday evening starts at 6:00pm.

A lot of bad things are happening in churches today. Is Edgewood safe? Will my children be safe?

We take pride in the security of our facilities. Although there are multiple entrances on our campus, every attendee will be funneled through one of two entrances, both of which are carefully guarded by our highly-trained Security Team. Cameras are strategically placed all over our property, giving our Security Team watchful eyes on every square inch of our facility. The Security Team will patrol the entire campus of Edgewood throughout the duration of the service. We take security of our attendees very seriously.

Our security team consists of qualified, well-armed, professionals who undergo rigorous training many times throughout the year. Many of the men on our security team serve in law enforcement capacities, such as the Nicholasville Police Department and Jessamine County Sheriff’s Department. These individuals are already keeping our community safe. They keep our church safe as well.

If you notice any suspicious activity on our campus, please inform a Greeter, Usher, or Security Team member immediately. They can be identified by the badge they wear, or the headset in their ears.

What should I wear?

You should wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Many of our attendees will dress relaxed. Some will choose to wear blue jeans or shorts. Others might wear a suit. There is no dress code at Edgewood; we want you to wear what makes you feel comfortable.

To all ladies: no church should force you to wear a dress if you don’t want to. You won’t find that kind of atmosphere at Edgewood.

Where should I park?

We have reserved guest parking for you right at the front of our campus. Look for the designated “Guest Parking” signs.

I need coffee to function. Do you have coffee?

We totally understand and we’ve got you covered. Come to the fellowship hall before the service starts and get some coffee and complimentary pastries.
